It seems Papoose’s album “Nacirema Dream” has been pushed back to sometime in Janurary of 2007. We’ve been waiting forthis album for over a year now and I can already feel the street buzz fading so hopefully he can get it out the door before people begin to stop careing.

It would be helpful if he could release a single or two to keep things interesting but we have it on good authority that he has managed to shoot 2 music videos already, both in the back yard of his house, the music videos are supposedly for the songs “Alphabetical Slaughter” and “Ghetto Soldier” which was done with Akon collaborating.

Papoose talks about "Ghetto Soldier" video · Oct 13, 06:17 AM by J-Man

In a recent MTV interview Papoose was asked about his new music video that was recently shot in his backyard for the song “Ghetto Soldier”

” ‘Ghetto Soldier,’ basically the concept of the video is showing the comparison of the soldier that’s going to war in Afghanistan and the everyday ghetto soldiers that are losing their lives,” he explained on Thursday. “It’s a visual metaphor between the two. People could see they going to war over there, but it’s everyday war we going through in the ‘hood. We showing both sides of the fence. I think the video made a good statement in the end. We’re all fighting for different causes, but at the end of the day, it’s a loss of life.” In the video, he added, “I’m doing performances and a little bit of acting.”

Alphabetical Slaughter · Oct 8, 06:21 AM by J-Man

Apparently Papoose’s music video for the song Alphabetical Slaughter will require a fair bit of post production work.

“They gonna use a lot of different graphics to bring it to life,” he said. “But it’s me spittin’ the lyrics. One scene shows a different learning process. You got my man with the boxing gloves and somebody is training him, he’s learning to fight. Then there’s this female who’s sitting down learning schoolwork. It’s more like a lesson. ‘Alphabetical Slaughter’ is a lesson to MCs. Throughout the video you gonna see a lot. This is just a warning shot, me making my introduction to the mainstream.”

Whats Going on with Papoose ? · Oct 4, 06:00 AM by J-Man

Most artists would be dancing in the streets after signing a $1,500,000 record deal, but Papoose has bigger dreams, he’s spending less time celebrating and more time making plans for his group “Nation of Thugacation” as well as his own more brighter future.

Papoose also recently revealed in an interview with Allhiphop.com that his fellow Thugacation members Tydro, Snipe, Odogg, Flip, Cbrown, Ike enfa diamonds as well as Maleeke will make first time appearences on his first major release entitled Nacrimera Dream.

“We represent what you call an educated thug—more about knowledge of self, we specialize in things like knowing the law. It’s not fortunate for brothers to be incarcerated or catch cases, but if you do you should know the law. Knowing the law might be the difference between jail time and not getting jail time.”

Nation of Thugacation is also busy working on a new mixtape to be released prior to Nacrimera Dream and feels very confident having picked Jive as their label.

“If I was playing tennis or golf, maybe there would be pressure, hip-Hop music? There’s no pressure. This is what I do. I just needed the opportunity. So I am given the opportunity by Jive, by Kay Slay [Streetsweepers Ent.] and Busta Rhymes [Flipmode]. I am blessed with this opportunity and it feels real good, it’s a dream come true.”
